Asphalt overlay

An asphalt overlay is a type of road surface treatment in which a layer of asphalt is applied over an existing road surface. The process is used to repair and improve the condition of existing roads, as well as to extend their lifespan. The new layer of asphalt is typically applied using a paving machine, and is then compacted to form a smooth and durable surface. In the nonwovens industry, nonwoven geotextile fabrics may be used in asphalt overlay to provide a separation layer and to improve the performance and longevity of the road surface.
