Absorbent products conference expected to attract 500 people

More than 500 industry professionals will make their way to the Loews Portofino Resort in Orlando, FL November 4-8. Hygienix 2018, the fourth edition of the event, will offer a full schedule of conference speakers, workshops, tabletop displays and networking opportunities.  Day one of the event will feature an Absorbent Hygiene Products Workshop led by Terrill Young, Hygienic Materials Engineers, which will be held from 1:30-4 p.m.  The conference will begin on November 5 at 9 p.m. with a keynote presentation—Retail Disrupted—The Amazon Effect, presented by Diana Sheehan, director, Kantar Consulting. This will be followed by two sessions on AHP Design Advancements featuring presentations from Suominen, H.B. Fuller and Evonik.  On Monday afternoon, a Kimberly-Clark executive will moderate a session devoted to Incontinence, featuring a presentations from two university professions—one specialized in urology and one in medicine. The afternoon will conclude with a presentation of Nonwovens Markets and Economic Trends from Euromonitro and the presentations from the three Hygienix Award finalists—Bostik, Tampiliner and Avgol.  Tuesday will begin with a session devoted to Skin Health with presentations fro ma clinical professor of dermatology and a representative of Product Investigations. Later that morning, presentations from Shelton Group, Procter & Gamble and price Hanna Consultants will comprise a session on Sustainable Challenges for Disposable AHPs/Recycling.  After lunch, attendees will be able to sit in on a Panel Discussion featuring feminine care disruptors, listen to a presentation from EDANA on its sustainability journey in nonwovens and attend a session devoted to Haptics: Softness, Fit & Odor.  The final day of the conference will be devoted to economic trends, with presentations from Lenzing and INDA, and Technical Updates with presentations from Smith, Johnson & Associates, American Truetzschler and SGS-IPS Testing. The event will conclude with the presentation of the Hygienix Innovation Award.
