Here’s your weekly recap—the most-viewed news stories on our site for the week ended Oct. 26, 2024.

Bondex announced a major investment in its Trenton, SC, facility, with the installation of a new needlepunch line and expanded production capacity. This enhancement will allow the company to better serve the growing demand for U.S.-made products across key sectors such as filtration, automotive, laundry felts, and other emerging markets. With this upgraded capacity, Bondex is well-positioned to support customers across North America and globally.

The new needlepunch line, supplied by DiloGroup of Germany, enables Bondex to produce nonwovens over 4.5 meters wide, including scrim-supported and fiber-supported materials ideal for filtration and composite structures.

Meanwhile, Glatfelter Corporation and Berry Global Group, Inc. announced that Glatfelter’s shareholders have approved all matters relating to the merger of Berry’s Health, Hygiene and Specialties Global Nonwovens and Films business with Glatfelter required to be approved by Glatfelter shareholders, as described in the proxy statement/prospectus provided to its shareholders in connection with the Special Meeting.
