Suominen’s Sales Fall

Company reports unsatisfactory performance in a challenging environment

In the fourth quarter, Suominen’s net sales decreased by 19.6% from the comparison period to €95.3 million ($114 million). Sales volumes decreased from the comparison period, as well as sales prices following the raw material price development. Currencies impacted net sales negatively by €4.8 million ($5.7 million).

Net sales of the Americas business area amounted to €58.8 million ($70.4 million) and net sales of the EMEA business area to €36.5 million ($43.7 million). 

In 2025, Suominen’s net sales decreased by 10.8% from the comparison period to €412.4 million ($493.7 million). The decrease in sales was driven by lower sales volumes, but the company was able to offset the lower volumes partly with better sales prices and sales mix. Currencies impacted net sales negatively by €12 million ($14.4 million).

Net sales of the Americas business area were €252.6 million ($302.4 million) and net sales of EMEA business area were €159.9 million ($191.4 million).
