Leading specialist dryer and oven manufacturer, Spooner Industries Limited, will supply a state-of-the-art ‘TAD’ through air drying and curing system for Saint Gobain Adfors, Czech Republic. The TAD is a key part of a new wetlaid glass fiber mat line, which will be installed at the Litomyšl plant with a scheduled start for mid-2021. The Spooner TAD system is designed to provide high throughput while maintaining precise cross-machine air profile uniformity, ensuring excellent runnability and high quality glass mat production.
Â
In addition, Spooner will supply a regenerative thermal oxidiser (RTO) to treat process exhaust from the drying/curing system prior to its safe release to the atmosphere. The RTO will provide very high VOC destruction efficiency, exceeding local emissions standards, as well as returning energy to the process for maximum thermal efficiency.
The new production line will complement Saint Gobain’s existing line at the Litomyšl plant and will facilitate organic growth as well as expansion into new markets. Saint-Gobain Adfors is a global leader in the manufacture of a range of technical textiles providing solutions for both construction and industrial applications. They remain committed to ethical and sustainable development throughout their products and activities.
