Keene Technology Incorporated (KTI), a global leader in Splicing and Turret Rewinding solutions for nonstop production in the printing, packaging and converting industries has unveiled its new Modular Converting Systems line. Some of the features include full rotary and semi rotary die cutting, flexographic print/coating stations, laminating stations, hot foil/cold foil, ink jet print, folding carton die cut, pharmaceutical inspection and error detection. To complement the company’s core line of various butt splicing and turret rewinding products, KTI will manufacture and sell a complete series of modular converting products that will address many applications that would normally incorporate its existing product line. This introduction allows KTI to offer a truly “turnkey” solution to any offline converting applications that face converters today. The modular capability also allows KTI to offer clients a machine that fills their needs for efficient and “LEAN” work flow, optimal performance and throughput and marginal waste. Along with its well known unwinds and rewinds, KTI can now supply a converter a virtually nonstop production system from one single source manufacturer. The system is built from the operator’s point of view, making it much more user-friendly and consequently a more productive profit generator within its environment by reducing wasted setup and make ready time. The KTI Modular Converting Systems will address applications in the label and tag, folding carton, ECL/booklets, digital finishing and nonwovens segments of the industry. The system will offer converters an American built product line with the needed technologies offered in other systems. KTI offers this equipment in web widths of 10–32”. “The new path for KTI has been driven by our large customer base and their need to source a turnkey solution from one manufacturer that can control the entire process from the beginning to the end,” says Andre Beaudoin of KTI. “The requirements by the industries we serve have driven us to become more technically advanced, resulting in high efficiency production capabilities with less down time and substantially more production at the end of every shift for our customers.” 860.355.2010; www.keenetech.com
