Fagus GreCon Inc., a market leader in the development and manufacturing of preventive fire protection systems, measuring equipment and inspection systems for many industrial manufacturing industries, announces that Eric Peterson, the CEO for the U.S. operations for the last six successful years, has decided to retire at the end of 2025.

To succeed Peterson, Fagus GreCon Inc. would like to introduce Attila Madarasz as its CEO for U.S. and Canadian Operations. Madarasz officially joined the organization as of October 13, 2025, and began his new role as CEO on November 1, 2025. Madarasz grew up in North Carolina and has over 25 years of experience leading successful teams across a broad spectrum of manufacturing industries throughout his career at well-known European companies in the industrial manufacturing and plant engineered solutions sector — both in Europe and the USA. He is based out of our North American headquarters in Charlotte, NC.

“Attila has been working closely with Eric and the entire U.S. team to ensure a seamless handover. We are excited with the addition of Attila as the new CEO of Fagus GreCon, Inc., so that we can continue to write our success story in North America for the long term,” says Alexander Kuppe, managing director Fagus-GreCon Greten GmbH & Co. KG.

“I am honored to be selected as Fagus GreCon’s next CEO.  I am excited to contribute to a company with a strong tradition of innovation and a rich history of delivering innovative high-quality products and services to their customers,” Madarasz says.

“Fagus GreCon will always be a special place for me. It is a family-run business that cares about its people and customers,” says Peterson. “The Fagus GreCon management and board have given me the privilege over the last 6+ years to make decisions to help grow and build the U.S.-Canada organization for long-term success. The innovative culture, the willingness to adapt and change, and the empowerment GreCon gives its employees are truly special. I think now is a suitable time for the organization to have new energy injected into the business.”

“Fagus GreCon would like to express our sincere thanks to Eric for his tremendous dedication and commitment. He has contributed not only with expertise but also with heart and soul to the continued growth and development of our organization in the USA and Canada. We wish him all the very best for this new chapter in life, good health, and the opportunity to enjoy the freedom of managing his own time,” says Kuppe. “We are excited that we have found a great successor in Attila, to continue to build and grow our U.S. and Canadian business.”

Madarasz has stated that his focus and mission will be to build upon the strong foundation established by Peterson. This includes further expanding the organization’s sales and service capabilities to support continued business growth, advancing the diversification of the company’s go-to-market strategy in dynamic industries, and implementing technologies that enable effective management and long-term sustainable growth.
