Kotex, Poise production assets to be transfered from Wisconsin to Vietnam, Malaysia

According to a news report, Kimberly-Clark will shift four Wisconsin-based production lines to Malaysia and Vietnam, following a 25% production reduction at its Cold Spring facility in Fox Crossing. The two lines produce Kotex feminine hygiene items and Poise light incontinence pads. K-C sites in Malaysia and Vietnam already manufacturer these products and export them to other Southeast Asian countries.

K-C has expanded production capacity at Cold Spring in recent years, investing $115 million in 2019 to build a new warehouse and add four production lines at the site.

In May, the company announced its largest ever invesetment in North America, a $2 billion plan that will add a new facility in Warren, OH and expand a distribution center in Beech Island, SC.
