Fi-Tech, Inc. and Uwe Gaedike, the current managing director of Enka Tecnica, have sold Enka Tecnica GmbH to the Reifenhauser Group. Fi-Tech will continue to serve as Enka Tecnica’s agent for the North American market while Gaedike will continue toe serve as managing director of the company.
 
Enka Tecnica is the world leader in the precision manufacturing of spinnerets for the synthetic fiber and nonwovens industries, operating from two sites in Groebzig and Heinsberg, Germany. A new site, currently under construction in Halle, Germany, will replace the Groebzig plant upon completion this summer.
 
The Reifenhauser Group, headquartered in Troisdorf, Germany, is a leading manufacturer of components, machinery and production lines for the plastic extrusion of films, nonwovens, monofilaments and strapping tapes, and Richmond, VA-based Fi-Tech is the North America agent for its Reicofil subsidiary. Fi-Tech is also one of the leading manufacturers’ agent in the U.S. and NAFTA countries for equipment and components used in the synthetic fiber, nonwovens and textile industries.
