For the third consecutive time, German nonwovens manufacturer Sandler AG, based Schwarzenbach/Saale, Bavaria has been honored Procter & Gamble’s “Business Partner of the Year” award in the field of feminine hygiene products. Sandler was selected as one of 12 companies worldwide, from approximately 60,000 suppliers to the entire group. “Your sustained performance and partnership have enabled our mutual growth. We want to keep strengthening this partnership between our respective companies because we believe it is a source of competitive advantage and leads to growth and value creation,” says Shailesh Jejurikar, COO of P&G, during a major ceremony in Chincinnati, OH, at the end of April. Ana Elena Marziano, P&G Chief Purchasing Officer, also put it in a nutshell: “These companies have been among the very best in delivering sustained and exceptional contributions, and we celebrate them for being integral members of our supply ecosystem. The partnership and collaboration with our supply ecosystem is essential to win – we innovate, solve problems, and grow our mutual business interests, together.” Sandler board member and CCO Ulrich Hornfeck focused on the team performance of the employees at the Schwarzenbach and Perry, GA, locations: “This is a great achievement that we can all be very proud of. This award has shown us all that despite the very challenging economic situation in 2023, we were able to maintain our level of quality, performance and service and ensure security of supply in all PG plants in North America and Europe. On behalf of my colleagues on the Executive Board, I would like to thank all my colleagues in Schwarzenbach and Perry for their outstanding commitment and team spirit.” Sandler has been a partner of the P&G Company for over 30 years in the fields of feminine hygiene, baby care and wipes. The nonwovens manufacturer supplies various P&G locations from its headquarters in Schwarzenbach/Saale and its U.S. branch in Perry, GA. For Sandler, this award from Procter & Gamble, the world’s largest manufacturer of consumer goods and branded goods is further confirmation of the outstanding partnership at eye level. At the same time, it is an incentive to further expand and continuously improve the cooperation and to constructively advance future topics”, the company promises.
