Mistra-Autex AS is installing a complete needlepunch line for its plant in Raasiku, Estonia. The new Andritz line will produce various types of nonwovens for surface applications, three-dimensional molding and other technical materials, primarily for the automotive industry. Start-up is scheduled for the end of the third quarter of 2026.

The scope of supply includes all machinery from the carding stage to the end-of-line section. The line features the patented Andritz ProWin web optimization system in a closed-loop configuration. This system will enable Mistra-Autex to achieve high end-product quality by ensuring optimal fiber distribution across the line.

With this investment, Mistra-Autex is taking its production to a new level, as productivity is expected to increase more than fivefold. At the same time, the company is reinforcing its commitment to innovation.

The value of the order will not be disclosed. It is included in Andritz’s order intake for the first quarter of 2025.
