The European annual production of AHPs amounts to over 86 billion disposable items (baby diapers, adult incontinence and feminine care products) and contributes more than 2.5 million tons to the solid waste stream in Europe. The way the industry produces, uses and disposes these goods is no longer sustainable and changes are needed. With such vision, LIFE ALL-IN aims to launch an innovative and ecofriendly integrated process that, for the first time, combines the production of the substrate and the AHPs as well as transformation processes that are usually performed offline.
